An SOP-run business changing hands
SOP company selling or closing? Buyers for its procedures
A company that ran on written procedures has a record of how its work gets done. When it is sold or wound down, that record can be licensed or sold, and the buyers say on their own pages what they want.
Who asks for procedures and workflows?
micro1 lists SOPs, reconciliations, approvals and reporting workflows among the operational data it licenses, and on its data partnerships page asks for established companies with 30+ full-time employees and substantial historical data. Nyne asks for three or more years of operational workflows.

If the business is winding down
SimpleClosure's AssetHub helps companies that are shutting down sell the operational data from how their team worked, documents and workflows included. Who signs depends on the stage: the directors while nobody has been appointed and no court petition is pending; the liquidator once one is, because on that appointment the directors' powers cease, in a solvent members' voluntary winding up as much as an insolvent one; the administrator in an administration. If the court then makes a winding-up order, the winding up counts from the petition, and a sale made after it is void unless the court validates it. Once the company is dissolved, what it still owned passes to the Crown as bona vacantia, and nobody at the company can sell it.

What buyers say about rights
Maryah says a licence grants rights to use the data, not ownership, and lets you exclude systems, folders and sensitive workflows. Mercor says no AI lab buyer or third-party vendor ever sees your raw data.
